"This is my oasis!" We often hear these words from people who have experienced the Norbertine Center for Spirituality. Located within St. Norbert Abbey, the Center is indeed a place of refuge for those who are weary, a place of wisdom for those who are seeking, a place of renewal for those who are over-burdened, and a place of safety for those who are questioning. A wide variety of inspiring presentations and retreats are offered throughout the year. For those looking for a more personal experience, spiritual direction is available, along with private retreats. If you are simply looking for a place to reflect and pray, tranquil prayer spaces are available.
The location of the Center for Spirituality enhances your faith experience, as well. Situated on 160 acres of natural and landscaped beauty, the serene setting simply invites contemplation. Within the Abbey walls are four lovely cloister gardens, one of which is available to Center participants. The Hildegard of Bingen reading room looks out upon the front mall of the Abbey, and, if you're lucky, you may catch a glimpse of wild turkeys, deer, or foxes! The Abbey Church itself is magnificent, with famed stained glass windows filled with sacred symbols. Upon seeing the Abbey for the first time, the typical response is usually a breathless, "Oh my!"
We know you will find opportunities at the Center, which will support you on your life's journey and enhance your relationship with God. As one regular participant offered, "I find my inspiration here." We hope you will, too.
