On Wednesday, May 5, 2010, Reverend Dane Radecki, O. Praem., was honored with the title President Emeritus of Notre Dame Academy. The honor was bestowed upon him during the annual Notre Dame Academy President’s Dinner. Fr. Dane was the institution’s first president and returned in March 2005 to serve as Notre Dame’s chief executive officer, spiritual leader and public spokesperson to the community.
Ms. Cecile Faller, Chair of the Board of Education, shared the following thoughts during the award ceremony:
"On behalf of the Board of Education, I would like to take this time to thank our current and outgoing President, Fr. Dane Radecki, whose leadership and vision has helped shape Notre Dame Academy. It has been a great pleasure and privilege to have worked closely with Fr. Dane over the past years. He always set the highest standards yet was very down to earth. As an administrator, he is one of the most collaborative persons to work with.
Caring, compassionate, always listening, leading and continually working on building the Kingdom of God, Fr. Dane is a true servant leader.
As a model for those following him, Fr. Dane embodies academic excellence, exceptional leadership and a deep seated commitment to the mission of Notre Dame Academy. As a member of the Board of Education, we were always captivated by his passion, warmth and love for the school, always keeping the students and staff’s best interest in mind when facilitating decisions. Under his leadership, Notre Dame Academy truly thrived.
 Fr. Dane is one of the most principled, authentic leaders I know, and I believe there was no finer model for our students, staff, faculty, and alumni. He worked tirelessly in proclaiming and living our Mission. We have been truly blessed.
To let him go was not going to be easy for Notre Dame Academy, so on behalf of the Board of Education and Corporate Board, it is a pleasure and honor to present Fr. Dane Radecki with the title of President Emeritus of Notre Dame Academy." |
