What's New, Eye On...

The 2011 Vision magazine featured St. Norbert Abbey in a recent article entitled Religious Communities Go Green.  The Abbey's eco-friendly practices were highlighted including: purchasing a portion of its electricity from renewable resources; strictly limiting its use of plastic bottles; composting; use of non-bleached, recycled paper; lowering thermostats and recycling throughout the Abbey. 

Br. Steve Herro, O. Praem., chair of St. Norbert Abbey's Justice and Peace committee shared his thoughts about the importance of religious communities living lives that are less demanding on natural resources.  Both he and Fr. Andy Cribben, O. Praem. were shown in a picture highlighting their compost efforts (at left).
