Coffee and Conversation with Fr. Benny Jacob, O. Praem.
India has been well known for its multi-religious status and its religious tolerance for many centuries. Though Christianity arrived in India in the first century, it still remains a minority community—only 24 million Christians in an overall population of 1.34 billion people! Yet Christianity is like the mustard seed and yeast that Jesus talked about in the Gospels. It is the mission of the Church to be like yeast and a mustard seed in the midst of religious pluralism.
Fr. Jacob, pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in De Pere and a native of India, will lead us in this challenging discussion of the Church in his native country and his journey to St. Norbert Abbey.
