Walking the Road to Emmaus: Early Morning Walks Together
They said to each other, ‘Were not our hearts burning within us while he was talking to us on the road, while he was opening the Scriptures to us?’
Two of Jesus’ disciples encounter the Risen Christ on the road to Emmaus, although they do not immediately recognize him. How often do we fail to see God in the ordinariness of our lives?
Join us for an early morning walk on the Fox River Trail in De Pere. After the Scripture-of-the-day reading and prayer, we will pair off and share insights as we walk at our leisure.
As always, participants are welcome to join the Norbertine community for Morning Prayer at 7:30 a.m.
Please dress appropriately for the weather and trail conditions. Meet at the pay station on the Fox River Trail near the De Pere Boat Landing located behind the Dairy Queen at 1081 N. Broadway, De Pere.
