Weekly Novena to St. Joseph
The weekly novena to St. Joseph is held every Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. at Old St. Joseph Church on the St. Norbert College campus (123 Grant St., De Pere, WI 54115-2099).
Solemn Novena to St. Joseph
A solemn novena extends a long-standing Catholic tradition of celebrating the feast of a great saint. St. Joseph, whose feast day is March 19, is honored for his role as protector, guardian, and worker.
Join the St. Norbert College community in celebrating the annual Solemn Novena to St. Joseph. The 2017 solemn novena will be held at Old St. Joseph Church on the St. Norbert College campus (123 Grant St., De Pere, WI 54115-2099) beginning Sunday, March 12, 2017, and concluding Monday, March 20, 2017.
Please note: since March 19th falls on the third Sunday of Lent in 2017, the Church has moved the celebration to Monday, March 20.
Prayer to St. Joseph
We come to you St. Joseph,
to place ourselves among all who love you
and to experience your powerful protective presence.
We shall always love and honor you as our spiritual father.
We ask you, O dear Joseph,
that you accept us as your friends,
that you lovingly consider our needs,
both spiritual and material,
that you may guard us from the influence of the evil one
as well as from other dangers that threaten us.
O most loving St. Joseph,
show us how to love and be loved by Jesus.
Teach us how to have a profound fidelity to the Church.
Encourage in us a filial affection
for the Blessed Virgin, our Mother,
so that, with your help we may enter heaven
to glorify God with you, through all eternity.
We ask this through Christ our Lord, Amen.
Hail Joseph, Son of David!
Most pure spouse of the Immaculate Mother of God
and faithful guardian of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Pray for us.
Pray for our loved ones.
Cherish, accept, and protect them.
